About me

After completing a BSc in Psychology with Honours at the University of Liverpool, I then went on to do a Primary PGCE at the University of Cambridge. Since then I have taught full time in Cambridgeshire primary schools for 13 years.

  • Class teacher in both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two.
  • Key Stage One Lead and a member of the school's Leadership Team.
  • Trained in staff coaching methods.
  • PGCE Mentor for 8 years - training, assessing and mentoring student teachers.
  • Experienced subject lead - most recently in Science.

  • Extensive experience and training in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN.)
  • Worked alongside Speech and Language Therapists (SALTs), Educational Psychologists and Specialist Teachers, as well as the SEN team in my schools, including a Cabin Nurture provision.
  • Extensive experience writing, evaluating and applying learning plans in my teaching.
  • Confident understanding and applying Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), issued from both Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
  • Experienced in completing school ADHD and ASD referral documents.
